Lucyna Makowska's relatives have called her "Lulu" since her childhood. This affectionate nickname could soon become a business logo. Until now, Lulu has been a homemaker, a devoted wife to her high-ranking-official husband, and a mother to their child, now a teenager. But when she and her husband separate after he cheats on her, she must deal with herself, so she opens her own confectionery business. What used to be just her private passion must become her profession. She is supported by her sister Olga--a feisty, coquettish music-studio employee--and their grandfather, whose ideas sometimes do more harm than good. During this time, Lulu is beset by family troubles and her daughter's school problems; her old love Andrzej stands in her way; and her jealous neighbor Elka throws obstacles at her feet.
