During the spring of 1919, in Paris, France, Woodrow Wilson, David Lloyd George and Georges Clemenceau began the year-long conference that would determine the fates of the nations defeated by the Allied forces during the First World War. In the winter of 2010 in Toronto, Canada, three men resign themselves to the considerable lower stakes of their own fates. One is a comedian, one an actor and the other a condescending bourgeoisie. They are each are in their thirties but seem to be trapped in behaviors embraced a decade earlier.
