Rio Reiser (1950-1996) born Ralph Christian Möbius, was a German singer/songwriter, writer, poet and actor. His first band was the Beat Kings, in Berlin, 1970, he created the alternative group Ton Steine Scherben, and some 15 years later he started his solo career. He picked up the alias Rio Reiser, from being called Rio as a child and Reiser from Karl Philipp Moritz autobiographical novel "Anton Reiser".
