Through trials of pain, loss, and the price of buried secrets, a young vampire may yet learn that his greatest hope is more obvious than he believes. And In A world of Magic, Fey and strict law, he will go to great lengths with his best friend, as he struggles against a multitude of oncoming obstacles in order to survive. However, with the tides of fate and all its dark secrets coming at him, things seem all the more bleak as he is Confronted with the sins from his family's complicated past. Though naive and a well intentioned lad, this young vampire must find the courage to defy his dark fate and alter his future, in The seemingly peaceful and sleepy town of Novak. Within this town hidden away from the ever prying eyes of the human world, there is no utopia to be found. Instead it is filled with painful problems from a time long ago, and ones that are only beginning to surface. In the midst of all this, our hero must learn to fight through hardships like any other teenager, while also navigating the strict laws of a society and culture rooted in deep tradition. Luckily for Jacob Faust, he and Leroy Anderson, have each others backs no matter what, and promise to be there when the going gets rough. But how long can that promise last, when echoes of darkness blast back from the past, and just how far is this family willing to go, to keep their children safe from the harm that they know?
