Benno promises his colleagues to have a drink after work. The doctor with whom he previously has an appointment warns him, especially as a motorcyclist, he should defend himself against his bad other self. He tries it in front of the pub, then succumbs to the temptations of his transparent doppelganger. When the inn-keeper cannot change a banknote, he feels confirmed in his actions and drinks glass for glass. He falls asleep totally drunk, and in a dream he crosses a woman. Just when the executioner asked him about the gallows about his last wish, he wakes up.
