Nina Petrivna lives with her family in Zhytomyr. Her son Vitaliy Shvydchenko volunteered for the front to defend his country. One day Nina learns that Vitaly has been taken prisoner. Circumstances are such that the only chance to get your child back is to go looking for her on your own. Now Nina Petrivna will have to overcome a long way through towns and villages, pass checkpoints and offices of local authorities, meet face to face with the enemy, and all in order to find out - whether her child is alive .
