Karma is in love with Preet Kaur and gets married to her. Shortly thereafter some men assault him, and a stranger named Dharma comes to his aid. Months later, Karma, now the father Raju, finds out that Dharma is homeless and invites him to live with his family as well as his widowed mother, Jeeto. Karma does not know that Preet detests Dharma as he is a known goon who lusts after her; as well as why his very own mother had faked his death, and why she continues to fear for his and Raju's lives.
