
Crime Wave: The City Is Dark
In this low-budget crime drama a convict gets paroled and does his best to start a new life with his wife. He doesn't have much room to stray because a hard-as-nails detective, who despises all crooks and does not believe they can ever reform, keeps a close eye upon him. The trouble for the ex-con begins when three former prison mates bust out of San Quentin and head for his home where they want to hide out. One of the fugitives is a dangerous criminal and the ex-con fears for his wife and so agrees to hide them. Later the fugitives go too far when they try to force the hero into helping them rob a bank.
