Your Hollywood Pitch
Created, conceived by Morris Ruskin and M. Rutledge McCall, "Your Hollywood Pitch" is a 1-hour unscripted contestant-oriented reality show creating great entertainment in the form of 12 contestants going through the challenges and antics, the highs and the letdowns, the tears and the heartaches, of producing an online streaming web series in the maddening, thrilling, insane, beautiful world we call The Business. Viewers enjoy the thrill of following the trials and tribulations of contestants going through the trials of creating the best 10 webisodes possible...and the insanity that ensues as they vie to attract viewership, fans and crowdfunds. Why would creative people torture themselves through this craziness as contestants for over three months while the whole world watches? Because that's showbiz--and everybody loves showbiz! Plus, contestants gain thousands of viewers as well as crowdfunders who will "vote" with their money for the winners. And at the end of each season, only one contestant will be awarded the Grand Prize. "Your Hollywood Pitch" is staffed with professional judges, mentors, celebrity advisers, consultants and whatnot who guide and coach our intrepid contestants as they tackle all aspects of producing an entertaining webisode for a web series every week. The coaches bring in celebrities in each chosen field to guide and advise contestants in creative areas where they night need help. Viewers watch from the comfort of their homes as contestants put themselves through the entertainment pressure-cooker grinder as they do all they can to give our viewers what they crave. Drama! Angst! Joy! Tears! Laughter! ...And maybe the occasional 500k Hemi smashed to the floor in anger as the air date deadline fast approaches when competitors on the show better have their webisode ready for the viewers or, after too many missed deadlines, they could get tossed off the show. Or not--depending on whether they get a Pass or a Power Vote. What ensues is the production of cool entertainment for the viewers every week as they slog it out against 11 other creatives as they're put through every aspect of the thrill ride that is televised/streamed online entertainment production, wrangling their cast members, corralling their crew members, and dazzling the judges as they try to win the prize of their dreams. And only one of them will win the big prize. Just ONE. So, what is the Grand Prize? The contestant who creates a web series that attracts the highest web views over all of their episodes earns a production deal and the chance to develop their web series into a TV series or movie.
