KONTRADIKSYON (Contradiction) or Kontra-Adiksyon (Contra-addiction) is a complex and dramatic socio-political action thriller with issues that starts out local and escalates to national and global proportions. It is a film on contradictions and most importantly, Philippines' controversial and game changing war on illegal drugs. The film shows the adverse effects of illegal drugs to the over-all health of a person which tragically leads to a life of crime. Written and directed by Multi-Palanca Award-winning writer, Njel de Mesa of Subtext and Respeto. Alexis Borlaza, a human rights activist ends up becoming an undercover drug enforcement agent but is actually a vigilante killer by night. To solve a brutal murder, he then enlists the help of Jessica Puyat, a known drug user and pusher in the call centers and other "high-end" institutions.
