Four exiles who have found refuge in Montreal (Canada), men and women arriving from Iran, Bosnia, Burundi and Algeria must face uprooting and redefine themselves. How do they do it? The various trials to be faced and their lives to be rebuilt are all necessary steps in the journey into exile. Through various film approaches -- archives, reconstructions and animation -- we are invited to follow them in order to better understand their passage.
