A group of nine lifelong friends closer to the 50s than the 40s meet to celebrate 1990 New Year's Eve. But when all are reunited, they receive a call phone from Mario, the only one of the friends absent of the reunion, to announce them his attempt to commit suicide. The rest of the group starts a race against the clock through Madrid's streets looking for their friend. In this travel every one of them will remember their golden years making so a review by the convulsed Spain's history from their youth in the university at late 60s to The Spanish Transition at the 70s and La Movida at the 80s, living politics, musical, cultural and social events that changed a nation.
