Four unmarried sisters, Luísa, Susana, Zé, and Benedita, rely on themselves after their bankrupt father's death in Venezuela. With their mortgaged house, no money, and no job prospects, an forgotten inheritance from a single aunt in Lisbon becomes their salvation. Moving to Portugal is not easy, as they have no family there and are unfamiliar with the country. While Benedita faces health issues, Susana believes Portugal offers no opportunities. The only one willing to embark on a new life is Zé. The decision is difficult, leaving behind relationships and the unknown, but it is a chance for a fresh start for the four sisters in search of a better future.
