In this Flemish version of the British Pop Idol, the brothers Koen and Kris Wauters, together the popular band Clouseau, present a talent hunt in which thousands of would be-pop idols are gradually eliminated, often under humiliating criticism from the professional jury; once the bulk is sifted, each episode has all remaining candidates perform in one genre, and one is eliminated taking account of a national tele-vote. The winner at least, and in fact one or more runners-up (not necessarily in the scoring order) are rewarded with a record contract, which is very hard to get nowadays in the Low Countries; actually Brahim Attaeb (later Eurosong pre-selection finalist), Wim Soutaer and Natalia (Druyts) got a better career boast out of it then winner Peter Evrard.
