In Virginia Beach, Virginia, an aspiring novelist, Ron Fervent, returns home one day to find his house has been stolen. Pursued by authorities and insurance agents who believe he committed the crime, Ron enlists his delusional tabloid-journalist friend John in his desperate struggle to escape.
