Daisuke Kami is an assistant to a powerful member of the Japanese Diet. When his boss decides to leave the party faction, Kami supports him, only to discover the next morning that he (Kami) has been framed in a finance scandal. In the course of fleeing from the police, he takes refuge with a small community of homeless people and fakes his own suicide.
