The Off Show
An Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) sketch comedy show in a surreal, anarchic style. The Of Show built on the themes and story-telling approaches developed in the earlier Aunty Jack Show and Flash Nick, and shared similar casts. It began life as an unaired series called "The Off Show", which was deemed too offensive and potentially problematic by ABC management, with episodes such as "Leave it to Jesus"--a sitcom parody. The tapes are believed to have been wiped, before the less controversial "Of Show" was commissioned in its place.
