Lucía is a woman with a humble background but a hopeless dreamer. After realizing she'll never become a Hollywood superstar, she focuses on winning the heart of her Prince Charming - the wealthy bachelor, José Simón Landaeta. However one day during a delivery, Lucía is attacked and rescued by the noble Roberto, who falls in love with her. He helps Lucía to transform herself into the rich aristocratic countess Sabrina Di Farneze and to conquer José Simón. But Vilma, a cousin of José Simón who has an affair with him is jealous of the sudden arrival of the so-called countess into their lives. Meanwhile Roberto's former fiancee, Karina wants to revive their relationship and sees Lucía as threat on her way to achieve that.
