Fuego Verde (Green Fire) was written by American journalist Thomas Quinn and the writer Benjamin " Ben" Odell, who according to sources from the TV programmer, did their investigative work around to recount the life and stories of the emerald lords and farmers of the altiplano cundiboyacense, a region where there are deposits of emeralds as documenting well everyday life and atmosphere of the emerald zone with all its risks intrigues and conflicts. Although the series was not well received among the inhabitants of the highlands of western BoyacĂĄ where the recordings were made, it reported good rating at the time of transmission.
