The developmentally disabled children at Home No. 8 in Gorna Banya are rehearsing a musical-gymnastic number to celebrate June 1st, the International Day of the Child. The theme of the celebration is "Peace on Earth." During the course of their endless practice sessions, an obvious conflict arises between the their caregivers' rather absurd notions of peace and happiness and actual everyday life in the care home. By the end, one of the children has reached 18 years of age and in accordance with the rules must be moved to a new home: Home No. 6.
