DoktĂłr Murek
The titular doctor Murek loses his job at the provincial magistrate as a result of intrigues. He decides to go to Warsaw. In the capital, he earns his living by collecting garbage. He makes contact with the local underworld. Soon, together with a criminal nicknamed "Black Kazik", he attacks the villa of President Czabran. Arleta, the lover of "Black Kazik", kills her common-law partner to live with Murek. However, although he takes advantage of the girl's charms, he intends to become Czabran's son-in-law.
