Journalist Gou, laid-off worker Miss Cheng, self-employed Wang and moneybag Cha are classmates of a driving school and coached by veteran Hou. As time goes on, all these five persons get familiar with each other's personalities and personal lives. This period of driving school life is full of twists and turns, but all difficulties are overcome when all trainees pass the examinations successfully at the end of the term. All five persons learn the rules of driving along with the rules of living during the driving school days.
