The Last Chance
Recently engaged Alan Burmister, a businessman with shady dealings, is accused of murder. John Worrall, a rising barrister and competitor for Alan's fiancee's affections, is briefed for the defence but when he loses the case and Alan is condemned to penal servitude for life, no one but the judge realises that John may have deliberately bungled Alan's legal defence.
