
Common Sense Brackett
Small town hotel keeper Bruce Brackett marries the star of a touring theatrical group, but after a few years, tired of the drudgery, she leaves him and takes their daughter with her. Bruce adopts an orphan girl, and then, sixteen years later, his real daughter, now motherless and unaware that her father lives there, returns to his town as a teacher. Bruce's adopted daughter learns the true identity of the new teacher but keeps it from Bruce because she is afraid of losing his love. Meanwhile, Bruce counsels a husband who is repeating his mistake of making a drudge of his wife, and his advice saves the marriage. Then, as a reward for her father's kindness towards the couple, Bruce's adopted daughter reunites him with his real one.
