Guilty or Innocent
A docudrama/reality game show that began with a recreation of an actual trial, with the "Jury", made up of contestants trying to match the original jury's verdict and winning prizes. Melvin Belli introduced the show and gave the verdict at the end to the home audience. John Shearin acted as the jury moderator. Sadly both have passed on. A brilliant idea that allowed law abiding citizens who might otherwise never get the chance, to see what goes on in a jury room.
