" A Waltz by Strauss" tells the story of Captain Lengsfelder, who returns to Vienna in 1923 after seven years of Siberian captivity. The city is alien to him, ownership and titles are lost, his former bride married to the newly rich financial magnate Velloni. Lengsfelder does not agree with the situation. He begins to work as a waiter, finds access to the world of speculators and bankers, regains prestige and love happiness.
