One night, both Mirri and Aino have been away late without permission: Mirri has celebrated with her fiancee Ragnar and survives through the fire escape and the balcony unnoticed in the room; Aino enters the front door with an unauthorized key and is surprised by Viivi Raski, the strict headmistress of the dormitory, "Tanta".
