17-year-old Anja is doing an apprenticeship in a small town restaurant. Although she is aware of her humble existence, she offers the young man she meets at the airport in the big city a completely different, almost improbable story about herself and her life. So she explains that she is a nurse in a tropical hospital and now she has to go to Leipzig to receive the necessary vaccinations. The high school graduate Helmuth (Jo Fabian), to whom she lies, picks up on Anja's fantasies and takes part in them. So the two get caught up in a role-playing game full of adventurous experiences.
