In the village of Donja Mrdusa the anniversary party is being prepared marking the election of the peasant cooperatives' president. He orders the teacher to prepare a Hamlet play that would be staged in the village. The role of king Claudius and the queen goes to the president and his mistress. Meanwhile, a real life drama takes place there, since the president has falsely accused the treasurer for financial abuse. Treasurer's son seeks to expose the dirty work and save his father's honor.
