In "Professor of marriage", Luisa, the girl in the domestic service of a doctor of the American Air Forces, makes him believe that she has a lover and that she needs advice to conquer him. The following story, "The happy girl", is the case of an operetta singer who aspires to marry a serious, honest and formal man. Finally, in "Pastoral", Eladio, a village boy, is in love with Ignacia, a wayward girl who wants to marry another man, Antolín, a guy somewhat boorish but with a lot of money.
