The tempest over the house of NarcĂ©s arose when it was three years since MartĂn's wife, AngĂ©lica, mysteriously disappeared in the waters of the river. Despite the bad weather and ignoring the advice of AngĂ©lica's mother, MartĂn leaves the house to go and raise cattle. At that moment a strange pilgrim arrives in search of shelter. She can only stop for a few minutes because she has to meet on the bridge with Adela, a girl whom Death seeks.
