A whole host of characters gather on the occasion of the death of poor Lupicinio, a civil servant in Franco's gray Spain, who died in the middle of spring. In his house, preparations are made for the funeral with the presence of a professional mourner, a very sexy maid, a guy who wants to collect the last bill for a radio set and even a pickpocket who thinks he has discovered that his wife is unfaithful with another man. Meanwhile, upstairs, a bride and her family are about to go to church to celebrate a wedding.
