Szováthy Éva
Vienna, 1848. The celebrated belle of the ball is Éva Szováthy, who at this evening finally decides in favor of her love for Doczy Lénard. History and fate, however, put up partitions between the Viennese courtier and the rebel captain. When Lénard leaves Vienna for Nagydóc because of the revolutionary events, Éva, the daughter of the imperial chamberlain, follows him, where she is not welcome. All the more so because the patriotic family had chosen a like-minded noblewoman, Eszter Girálthy, as Lénárd's fiancée.
