Marin Rangelov was born on April 11, 1997, in Sofia, Bulgaria. He earned a BA (Hons) in Acting for Stage & Screen from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov," graduating from the final masterclass of the legendary Prof. Stefan Danailov. He later completed two MFA degrees at New Bulgarian University in Film Directing and Producing for Film and Television. Rangelov made his debut as a director, screenwriter, and producer with the award-winning short thriller Red Admiral, inspired by true events. The film was selected for the Official Selection of the 20th In The Palace International Short Film Festival - the only Academy Awards-qualifying short film festival in the Balkans.

In 2026, he gained wider recognition through his participation and advancement to the semifinal stage of the documentary reality show Playing... Stoichkov, a project aimed at selecting the actor who would portray Hristo Stoichkov in a biographical feature film.

In the summer of 2018, he appeared in the American war drama The Outpost, directed by Rod Lurie, sharing the screen with Scott Eastwood, Milo Gibson, and Jack Kesy. His screen work includes leading roles in numerous short films and supporting performances in Bulgarian television series. Rangelov’s theatrical journey began in 2017 at the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov," where he made his stage debut as Leo Hubbard in Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes, a critically acclaimed production recognized with eight nominations and one award at Bulgaria’s premier theatre honors. He also portrayed Narcissus and Phaethon in Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses by Ovid, directed by Stayko Murdjev at the Drama Theatre "Nikola Vaptsarov."

Committed to continuous artistic growth, Rangelov has consistently pursued advanced training through international workshops and masterclasses. In 2026, he participated in a masterclass with Gaby Whyte Hart and Martin Campbell - the acclaimed director behind The Mask of Zorro and Casino Royale.

In 2019, Marin lived in New York City, where he refined his craft at the Susan Batson Studio and trained across diverse dance techniques at the Broadway Dance Center. Beyond acting and filmmaking, he is also an accomplished painter, having graduated from the National School of Fine Arts "Ilia Petrov" as an illustrator.
