Deb Medhekar is an accomplished Indian filmmaker and director, renowned for his extensive work in both advertising and feature films. Over a career spanning more than a decade, Medhekar has directed over 150 advertising commercials for prestigious brands including HP Printers, Colgate, Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Danone, BBC, Nokia, Surf Excel, Horlicks, Knorr Soups, and Infosys.

Medhekar's feature film debut, Bioscopewala (2018), is a modern adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's classic short story Kabuliwala. The film premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival and was widely released in India and the Middle East. It has garnered critical acclaim for its poignant storytelling and nuanced performances.
