Marina Thomé holds master's degrees in Creative Documentary (UAB, Barcelona) and Communication, Art and Technology (UBA - São Paulo, Brazil), and develops documentary projects for multimedia, cinema and TV platforms. Marina studied photojournalism and storytelling at the International Center of Photography in New York. She co-directed the feature film "O Som dos Sinos", which won the jury award for best documentary in DOC FAM 2017 (Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul), best direction of photography at the São Paulo Film Festival, Honorable Mention at Heritales Film Festival (Portugal) and was selected for international festivals such as the XXVII Festival Biarritz Amérique Latine and others in Switzerland and Mexico. Her recent productions include: "Todas las semillas sembradas", a collective feature film documentary presented at various European festivals, "The Typing City", selected for festivals such as Tirana International Film Festival 2012 (Albania), 45 Atlantic Film Festival and Cine de Santander (Spain), "Las Sombras del Progreso", first web documentary produced in Spain, selected for the festivals L'interDocsBarcelona and L'Alternativa 2012, and "De Viver de Rios, de Viver de Ruas", short documentary was shot in Pará, with a projection in video-mapping in São Paulo (2013).
