Writer, comedian, and actress Anna Lisa McClelland is the daughter of a Montana Cowboy and a San Francisco lass. Born in Paris, she left before she could speak a word of French or eat a single croissant. Raised in London, near where the Beatles recorded Abbey Road, she left before she could play a single musical instrument. She regrets that.

She's worked in a refugee center in Ashkelon, served as a speechwriter Queen Noor of Jordan, and conversed with Yasser Arafat in Tunisia, who spoke of peace and carried a machine gun. She's worked for Harvard University's non-profit organization Peace Games, teaching conflict resolution in Dorchester, Roxbury, and China Town.

Anna Lisa has performed in and written plays produced in NYC, London, and Los Angeles. She wrote and performed her one-woman show, Anonymous, Off Broadway. She has performed comedy at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre, the People's Improv Theatre, and with the founding members of the Groundlings.

Anna Lisa holds an MFA in Writing for Screen & Television from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She lives in Los Angeles with a skinny terrier and an overweight pug. A nomad by nature, she writes about lost homes and found families.
