Julia Fulmer was born in South Carolina in 2001 and raised alongside her three older brothers. From a young age, she became enamored with watching how films were made, and began making home videos with her siblings when she was just a young girl. She has continued to develop and grow her digital video production skills since. At age 13, her life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with T-Cell ALL. Her cancer journey brought with it many challenges, but also offered the opportunity for Julia to develop her "voice" as a storyteller. She began to tell her cancer journey story through video projects and wrote and directed her own comedic short film, "Rachel's Pitch." Many are surprised at how humorous her work is, given her challenging circumstances, but Julia has always maintained a positive outlook on life.
