Arun Varghese is a Mumbai/Cochin based filmmaker. He also teaches Direction & Screenwriting to graduation level students at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. He has worked in the Hindi film industry for close to 15 years, acquiring skills in Direction, Editing and Screenwriting.

His Direction credit includes a short documentary 1) The Sarangi Player(2014), which was the official selection at 12 international film festivals and won awards at 3 including the 1st prize at KIFF, and 2)The Case(2021), a short fiction film starring Neha Mahajan. The Case was the Official selection at 21 International Film Festivals and won awards at 4. Post festival run, Disney+Hotstar acquired the streaming rights for a period of two years. His editing work includes a Feature length TV movie, Documentaries and Promos for studios like Fox Star, Phantom and RSVP.

In 2015, he became one of two Indians to be invited by the Russian Ministry of Culture for a 10 day Cinema workshop. Presently, he is developing feature length fiction projects.
