Ian Kim is a South Korean actor with an international career across Canada, the United States, China and South Korea. His work spans major global streaming platforms, including Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, as well as Korean and Asian broadcasters such as MBC, SBS, MBN, and iQIYI, demonstrating strong range and adaptability, and his impeccable bilingual ability in Korean and English.

Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, a foundation that gave him distinctive creative approach to acting. He often describes acting as creating a new painting, where he focuses on building layers and depth within the simplicity of life.

Rather than following traditional training pathways, Ian developed his craft through unconventional means, working across an extraordinary number of projects as a lead actor in more than 200 productions. Ian emphasizes rawness in acting as a means of conveying truth. He compares film acting to "rap". In his view, rap is rooted in lived, street-level experience, and film acting should similarly emerge from real life.
