Award-winning screenwriter Sean Mick grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California where he studied art, film, and screenwriting at Sonoma State University.

He refined his craft under many of the top script "gurus" in Hollywood, including Christopher Vogler, John Truby and Robert McKee.

His "Patron Saints" of film are Howard Hawks, Michael Mann, Sam Peckinpah, and Christopher Nolan and their work as writers and directors has deeply influenced his storytelling.

An admirer of the late Joseph Campbell's pioneering work into heroes and mythology, Sean enjoys sharing his unique perspective on screenwriting with aspiring writers as a teacher and mentor at Western Nevada College.

He is active in the Carson Classic Cinema Collective, where he acts as host/moderator for monthly film screenings and panel discussions, and serves as a judge for the Reno-based Silver State Storytellers yearly series of short film contests.

Sean resides in Carson City, Nevada (near Lake Tahoe) with his beautiful wife and two very pampered cats.
