Dnyanesh Zoting is an exciting Indian filmmaker based in Mumbai. After pursuing a Bachelors in Theatre at the Centre for Performing Arts, Pune, he debuted as a writer-director with the 2018 fantasy thriller feature Raakshas. The script for Raakshas was part of Sundance Lab 2015, where he was mentored by Sriram Raghavan, making him the first Marathi screenwriter to be a Sundance Alumni. Raakshas amassed great critical acclaim upon release. Dnyanesh then branched out to the series format with Date with Saie for Zee 5, a meta thriller web series, which received an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences and critics alike. The series went on to receive multiple nominations including Best Director, Best Writer and Best Web Series at the Streaming Awards by Digital Hash and at the IWM Digital Awards. Dnyanesh made his Hindi feature debut with the Jimmy Shergill and Rajshri Deshpande starrer Collar Bomb, an action thriller produced by Yoodlee Films for Disney+Hotstar in 2021. Most recently, he created and directed the series Pet Puraan, a comedy about pet parenting. The show was released on Sony LIV in 2022, and was an immediate audience and critic favourite. Pet Puraan was awarded as the Best Web Series (Marathi) at the E4M Play Awards 2023. The show was listed, along with Gullak 3, Rocket Boys and Panchayat 2 as one of the top web series of India in 2022 by Indian Express and Scroll. Currently, Dnyanesh is developing a Hindi web series for Matchbox Shots, while also working as creator and showrunner on a Jio Studios web series and an Amazon Mini web series. He is also developing the sequel to Pet Puraan for Sony LIV. Parallely, Dnyanesh continues to develop and create new and exciting ideas of his own.
