Composer, saxophonist, and multi-instrumentalist Danny Janklow was born in 1989 in Tarzana, California. Janklow got his first saxophone at the age of eleven. While attending Agoura High School Danny was recognized by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz Center as the first-ever triple instrument Outstanding Soloist on flute, clarinet, and tenor saxophone. Janklow received a full scholarship to Philadelphia's Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance in 2007. In 2010 Danny won first place in the North American Saxophone Alliance competition held in Athens, Greece. Following graduation from college in 2011, Janklow moved to Los Angeles, California, where he has become a much sought after bandleader and saxophonist. Danny won first place at the Detroit Jazz Festival Saxophone Competition in August, 2012. Among the notable artists who Janklow has performed with and/or worked for are Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Sarah Reich, Wayne Shorter, Jose James, Benny Golson, John Beasley, Savion Glover, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis, and Postmodern Jukebox.
