Rui Neto was born in Setúbal (Portugal) in 1989. In 2011 he enrolled in the film course of Universidade Lusófona having writing and directing as his main passions. During the course he also developed a special interest in editing. His main influences came from Hollywood movies and Brazilian cinema. In his filmography, Rui Neto written, directed and edited "Rastos de Pó" as his first prizewinning work.
