Debasmita Dasgupta is a London-based South Asian graphic novelist, screenwriter, creative producer, and co-founder of FilmsPositive, a film & media production company in Singapore. An award-winning author-illustrator, her visual stories including her latest graphic novel TERMINAL3 have been published by Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, and Scholastic to name a few. Her illustrated animation work has been showcased at the Raindance Film Fest in the UK & Canada.

In a career spanning over 15 years, she has written and produced two award-winning short films and a significant number of documentaries working with agencies such as the United Nations and the European Commission.

In 2021, Debasmita wrote and produced BEFORE LIFE AFTER DEATH, her first feature film. It is now acquired by Netflix Asia Pacific. In March 2023, she produced her second feature film DUST AND THE WIND.
