Miguel E. Escobar Ruiz is a Cinematographer born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela in 1989.

At the early stages of his career he pursued filmmaking from the academic side by earning his Undergraduate Degree in Mass Communications where he specialized in Audiovisual Arts which gave him a broad understanding of the industry. Then, he further his studies by earning his MFA in Film Production at Full Sail University in Orlando, Fl.

After finishing his studies he moved to Miami, FL. where he started to put to use all the skills he had learned in college which led him through many different stages in his career. He taught cinematography at New York Film Academy, then he went to become the manager of HD House, the biggest rental house for camera equipment in Miami. which ended up furthering his knowledge and understanding of the cinematography side of the Industry.

Right after finishing his employment at HD House he made the decision of embarking on the freelance world and solidifying his career. Miguel became a part of the team of talented artists at KPRA Films in Miami where they went on to make many of the biggest music videos for Latin Artists in the world, many feature films and commercials.

In 2023 Miguel made up his mind and decided to jump to Los Angeles, CA to pursue his career and become a Hollywood Filmmaker.

Arriving to California Miguel founded MEER VISUALS, his own personal company, using his knowledge of the business side of things plus the experience he had collected as a part of the cinematography departments all the previous years. This allowed him to solidify his position in California and even went to do over 10+ feature films, a handful of music videos and commercials in 1 year and all of that in one of the hardest years our industry has ever seen.

Miguel's career has led him through many different paths that had allowed him to have a very broad understanding of the Industry and mixing that with his passion for filmmaking makes him a very well rounded cinematographer.
