Yang Yongliang is an artist and director. Trained as a Chinese landscape painter in childhood, he studied digital arts in China Academy of Art. His works exploit a connection between traditional East Asian aesthetics and multidisciplinary languages, including digital imaging, filmmaking and immersive storytelling. Yang's work has been collected by the British Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Museum of Modern Art in Paris, Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai, the National Museum of Victoria in Melbourne among others.
