Phillip Forest Lewitski was born to Carole Forest, an awakening coach, and Brian Lewitski, a businessman.

Phillip Forest Lewitski appears in the Apple TV+ series Masters of the Air, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. He portrays Lt. Francis Harper, a member of a bomber crew fighting for survival deep behind enemy lines during World War II.

Lewitski starred in the feature film Wildhood, which premiered at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival. He portrays Link, a young man on a journey of self-discovery and cultural reconnection. Lewitski received the TIFF Rising Stars award, as well as Best Lead Actor in a Feature Film at the Canadian Screen Awards.

In Bones of Crows, Lewitski plays Adam Whallach, a character that embodies the struggles and resilience of Indigenous identity. His performance earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Performance at the UBCP/ACTRA Awards and the Leo Award nomination for Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Motion Picture. He also won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the Red Nation Film Festival.

Lewitski appears in the series Alaska Daily as Miles, contributing to the show's exploration of journalism and community. The series stars Hilary Swank and received critical recognition, including an Emmy Award nomination.

In the series Utopia Falls, Lewitski plays Apollo, a young man coming of age in a future society where art and music are forbidden. The show blends science fiction with music and follows a group of youth challenging the structures around them.

Lewitski has also appeared in the series Supernatural and in the final season of Vikings, where he portrays We'jitu.

A performer since childhood, Lewitski grew up in a musical household with seven siblings. He was homeschooled, allowing him to focus on theater and performance, and received a provincial Drama Award at St. Helena Theatre. He is a graduate of the Bishop Carroll Performing and Visual Arts program and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles.

Phillip Forest Lewitski is from the Otipemisiwak Nation. Of Kanienkehaka, French and Ukrainian ancestry, music has long been part of his life. He plays drums, piano, and violin.

Lewitski is an advocate for mental health and volunteers with youth facing challenges including domestic violence and substance abuse. At 19, he published Inside My Head, a book reflecting on his personal experiences with the intention of supporting other teens navigating similar struggles.
