Tyrrel "Ty Rey" Williams, a New Orleans native, has been a writer, director, and producer for more than 22 years. In 1999, he won the HBO Family (now HBO kids) "30 by 30: Kid Flicks" competition for his short, "The Homecoming". In 2001, TyRey entered Sundance under the Gen Y category for his second short, "North Star". After graduating from the University of Hawaii in 2006 with a degree in English, TyRey was an instructor of screenwriting and filmmaking at the University of Hawaii for two years. Since 2015, TyRey has produced two shorts, 'Exp. 1' and 'Six'.

In 2010, TyRey started at a local New Orleans production company and earned progressive responsibilities - Grip, Assistant Cameraman, Cameraman, Producer, and Copywriter. His TV credits include Sound Supervisor, Production Manager, Grip, and Second Assistant Director. Since 2015, TyRey has produced two shorts, 'Exp. 1' and 'Six', while producing original content for 'The Shade Room'.

Ty is Head of Production for ParkerVision Media.
