Alia DeSantis is an actor and filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada. After graduating from the Film and Television program at Humber College, she enrolled in the improv program at the Second City Training Centre. While honing her skills and making her mark in the Toronto improv scene, Alia began producing her own improvised comedy show, 'Booze Clues', co-starring with special guests Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998)), Andrew Phung (Kim's Convenience (2016)) and Mark Little (Mr. D (2012)).

Behind the camera, Alia formed her own production company, Slightly Sketchy Productions, and has worked tirelessly writing, producing and directing everything from short films and music videos, to internet commercials. This triple threat's impressive list of credits has caught the eye of the international festival circuit, garnering numerous nods and laurels. Her latest short, El Paycho (2020) was recently picked up by Parallel Universe Pictures for distribution worldwide with Vimeo On Demand and Amazon Prime in the U.S. and the U.K.

Some of her other acting credits include Impulse (2018), Murdoch Mysteries (2008) , Boombats (2019) the web series and Blackout City (2021)
